Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy Center for Compounding Practice and Research (CCPR) maintains a state-of-the-art facility that provides training for sterile and non sterile compounding based on current regulatory standards specified by USP Chapters <795>, <797> and <800> standards. The CCPR strives to insure the highest quality of compounded pharmaceutical products through training, research and testing. This is accomplished by providing innovative technology based educational opportunities for students, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, other healthcare professionals, regulatory agency staff, educators, scientists and pharmaceutical industry staff to advance knowledge in sterile and non sterile compounding. The learner centered curriculum, didactic and hands on embrace changes to comply with governmental regulatory standards. Also, while initiating and supporting interdisciplinary collaborative research, the CCPR enhances patients' quality of life through improved health outcomes.
